Welcome to the Official Rules and FAQs for our Referral Rewards Program at Tinnerman Insurance Agency.
This program is designed to reward our community for sharing their experiences and referrals. It is structured as a monthly raffle in compliance with Ohio Department of Insurance regulations, including those updated under SB 256 effective July 21, 2022, which allow for such programs when conducted as non-discriminatory raffles open to the public with no purchase necessary.
Program Overview
How It Works: Enter our monthly raffle by submitting a qualifying referral or leaving a review. Each valid entry gives you one chance to win in the monthly drawing.
Rewards: Winners receive their choice of a $75 Amazon gift card or $100 credit to a local independently owned restaurant (chains and franchises excluded, support local!).
No Purchase Necessary: Participation does not require any purchase of insurance products. Entries are free and open to the public.
Eligibility and Participation
Who Can Participate: Open to all Ohio residents who are 18 years or older. No purchase necessary. Current or previous clients, as well as members of the public, may enter. Employees of the agency and their immediate family members are ineligible.
Entry Methods:
- Referral: Submit a “qualified” referral of a friend, family member, or colleague. The referred individual must reach the “quoted” stage (i.e., receive an insurance quote from us). The referred person is not required to purchase a policy.
- Review: Leave a genuine review on platforms such as Google, Facebook, Yelp, Apple maps, or LinkedIn. (Each counts as 1, so 5 total entries possible here). Fake or Botted reviews are not eligible.
Entry Limits: One entry per referral or review platform. Entries do not carry over or stack from month to month; each month’s raffle is independent.
How to Enter: Use the referral form or review links on our website. Entries must be submitted by the last day of the month to qualify for that month’s drawing.
Official Rules
Sponsor: Tinnerman Insurance, located at 5 Iron Gate Park Dr, Centerville, OH, 45459.
Program Period: The program runs indefinitely, with monthly drawings held on the first business day of the following month.
Entry Requirements:
- Referrals: Must provide valid contact information for the referred party. The referral qualifies upon issuance of a quote. Fake or duplicate referrals will be disqualified.
- Reviews: Must be verifiable and posted on approved platforms. Screenshots or links may be required for verification.
- All entries must comply with Ohio laws; no unfair discrimination.
Drawing and Notification:
- Winners are selected randomly from all eligible entries for that month.
- Winners will be notified via email or phone within 5 business days.
- If a winner does not respond within 7 days, an alternate will be selected.
Reward Details:
- Non-cash prizes only; no cash equivalent unless specified.
- Prizes may be reportable as income; winners are responsible for taxes.
- Value is reasonable relative to any associated premiums, per Ohio regulations.
General Conditions:
- Open to the public; no cost or obligation to purchase insurance.
- Void where prohibited by law. Subject to all Ohio insurance regulations, including prohibitions on unfair inducements under ORC 3933.01 and related sections.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the program at any time, with changes posted here.
- Fraudulent entries will result in disqualification and potential legal action.
- Privacy: Information is handled per our privacy policy. Referrals will only be contacted with permission.
Dispute Resolution:
Disputes will be resolved by the agency in its sole discretion, in compliance with Ohio law.

It won’t qualify for entry; we’ll notify you if possible.
How will I know if I won?
Winners are contacted directly. Odds depend on the number of entries.
Are there any restrictions on prizes?
Prizes are non-transferable and must comply with value limits set by the Ohio Department of Insurance.
